March is upon us and this month is going amazing so far! I just returned from a trip to Michigan earlier this week to get right back into the swing of things. This week Tuesday I played a round at The Hotel Indigo with two other writers, Brian Fisk and Zack Ummer. The round was great and the live webcast had quite a few watchers during our round. I will be playing at Hotel Indigo for the next two Tuesdays so make sure you check my schedule to see when to turn in to the following website: http://www.writerartist.com/video.htm
This week Thursday I played the Alabama Line Writer's night hosted by Ray Smitherman and guess who showed up... Trent Tomlinson. It was such an honor to get to play on the same stage as him and hear him sing some of his new and old material. I think it is safe to say that i'm going to be a regular at Ray's Alabama Line writers night on Thursday's. Last night I ventured down to Franklin after all the storms and played a show with Dawn Beyer, Laura Drake and Kelly Murray. It was awesome to get to play with my good friend Dawn and meet some new friends as well. I really look forward to doing it in the future. Today I got up early to enjoy my day off because they are few and far between! No complaints there though. I do have a cowrite later in the afternoon, but any musician will tell you that making music isn't work a I send prayers and thoughts to those in various states that were affected by the storms that passed through yesterday. Weather can get crazy! This coming week I will be doing some Demo work and then singing the rest of the week. On Tuesday I'll be at the Hotel Indigo and make sure you tune in to the webcast to watch. Wednesday I'm at Roosters downtown across from 12th and Porter, and lastly, i'm at the Commodore Grill on Thursday to play Debi Champions Writer's Round. Thanks so much for all your support this week and getting my fans on Facebook and Twitter up. It means the world to get to share this experience with many of you. Kristen

The Grammy's last night were awesome! I just got done watching the whole thing tonight because I had a show, but nonetheless I was happy with the outcome! All the performances were great and it was awesome seeing and hearing Adele sing Rolling In The Deep! She's soooooo good!
I'm just getting over being sick and now i've got a cold coming on and I can feel it! I've been doing lots of Vitamin C and Orange Juice, but i'm afraid the bug is here! I hope all of you are have a good week so far and that if you are in town you will come check out a show. My schedule is posted here at my Reverb Nation page. It was a great show last night a The Commodore Grill and once again Debi Champion did a great job setting up the Writer's Rounds with talented people. I'm playing at The Rusty Nail for their Valentine's Day show and since I don't have one I'm keeping it strictly "unlove" songs! That's right all the fun songs without a trace of love in them. J/K What would country music be without them! Hope you come out and make sure while your visiting the sight to go check out the new Two Weeks Notice video that was just posted! Just got done watching one of the best Super Bowl's Ever! The commercials were a little weak, but the game made up for it! Congratulations to the Giants and next year the Lions will be there...LOL...Been writing like crazy and singing out a few new songs that people are really enjoying. The newest one is a true tribute to my family and how much they have made me the woman I am. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!
Been a little bit under the weather the last several days, but getting back to full strength and getting my workouts regardless. I have finally kept my New Years Resolution longer than a few weeks and I have to say I'm feeling awesome! I'm playing at Rusty Nail this Tuesday, Dooley's this Wednesday, I hope to get over to the Scoreboard this Thursday for a writer's jam, and lastly on Sunday night I am over at the Commodore with Debi Champion to play a writers round. Come out and enjoy some great food and music at any of the place and have a chat with me. Thanke I hope everyone is having a great December so far and getting all their shopping done. I know i'm having trouble with the shopping part, but having Christmas music going always gets me right back to where I need to be spiritually. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of this season we forget how simple it truly is. My family is going to be here in 10 days and I have a lot to do to get ready for them, but it's worth it to be able to spend the holidays with them.
I am writing like a maniac lately and tomorrow I have an appointment with Nichole Marceaux. If you haven't heard of her look her up on Facebook, Twitter, or Reverb Nation. She has some good stuff and I can't wait to write with her. I will be playing at Dan McGuinness in Nashville this Monday night at 7:30 and The Rusty Nail in Hermitage this Tuesday at 7:00. If you are around please stop in and listen! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Kristen Well I pulled off a huge surprise on my family! I went home for Thanksgiving and showed up to dinner unannounced! Needless to say I caught everyone in my family off guard and it was worth all the stressful planning and sneaking around I had to do for a couple days.
I got to go home and watch a few local artists play on Wednesday night at the Crazy Horse Saloon and then spend a few days with my family before heading back home yesterday. The weather was crappy and made travel a little difficult, but it is always worth it. Hope everyone is getting their shopping done! I took advantage of Cyber Monday and just did it online to avoid the crazy mess at the mall. Hope everyone's week is awesome and make sure if you're in town to come check out a show. Thursday I'll be at the Scoreboard and next Tuesday the 6th i'm out in Hermitage at the Rusty Nail. If you have any song requests for the website video section please contact me and let me know and I will do my best to get those up for you. God Bless, Kristen I'm ready for this week to be over, but I'm thankful to be so busy and working! Next week is going to be very busy, I'll be in meetings all day and playing Monday through Wednesday night. Monday night I will be at Dan McGuiness in Nashville at 7:30. Tuesday i'll be at The Rusty Nail in Hermitage starting around 8:00 and then Wednesday night i'm playing a writers round at The Commodore Grill hosted by the lovely Debi Champion. If you are in town these nights please stop by and check out a show, you won't be disappointed.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving and enjoys the parades, turkey, football, and family. I'll be watching the Lions and hoping for a "W". God Bless xoxoxo It is shocking to me that it's November already! This month is going to be very busy; filled with meetings, gigs, and writing. There is still work to be done on the album, but the little extra wait will be worth it believe me!
I just watched the Michigan Wolverines lose today! It seems like every time I'm watching they don't play very well. Maybe that's a sign! Got to get to work here, but just wanted to check in with you and let you know that there is going to be a short delay on the album release. Just got some brand new songs that are too good not to consider putting on there. Enjoy the weather this weekend! Kristen I just got back this afternoon from Michigan. I went home to watch Michigan, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers and came back 0-3. Even though none of the home teams won, the trip was definitely a success! The album is almost done and the finishing touches are being put on it as I speak. I am so excited for everyone to hear it and being able to take is with you.
While I was in Michigan I recorded the album at Cuts Studio in Newaygo, MI and produced nearly the entire project by myself. There is going to be five songs on the album and hopefully with the smaller number of songs it will make it more affordable and give me the unique opportunity to put out music more often. There is a new Two Weeks Notice video posted on the video page as well as my YouTube Channel that you can check out and see where the next two weeks is going to take me. Please let me know what you think of the videos and if you have ideas, please let me know as I can always use content. Hope everyone has a great week and God Bless! Kristen Welcome to KristenKuiper.com! There's days I can't believe that people are actually interested in what i'm doing, but I'm just so very thankful and grateful for all the love and support that I feel. I am truly blessed!
This weeks has been very busy, but amazing! I played at Dan McGuinness Girls Night Out this Monday and was able to meet hit songwriter Brian White! He was nice enough to let me play ahead of him and then I stuck around and listen to his set. He was such a great guy and if you get a chance go check out his music. He has cuts by Neal McCoy, Rodney Atkins, and many more. I followed Monday by Tuesday night out in Hermitage, TN at the Rusty Nail. On Wednesday night I was at the Commodore Grill singing and debuted a new song. Feedback from all the new material has been really great and I'm excited to get it out for everyone to hear. I am busy this weekend putting some final touches on the some of the songs that are going on the new record and next week I'm traveling to Michigan to do some studio work. I'm really excited for what is sure to come out of this project, it's going to be great! Thank you all so much for making my dreams come true and remaining the best fans a girl can ask for! You're support and constant encouragement makes this sometimes difficult path all worth it. Until next time! Kristen |
